There's no question that most business people thrive on action.

But as the Roman philosopher and statesman Cicero said: ‟Before beginning, plan carefully.” Not that inspirational but it’s self-evident that careful planning is the first goal you should have in mind when crafting a marketing plan for your company's products or services.

things to bear in mind

BEFORE YOU START MARKETING

  1. Understand the market climate and your
    marketing strengths and weaknesses
  2. Set yourself a budget
  3. Develop a marketing strategy
  4. Build a marketing plan
  5. Implement the plan
  6. Monitor the success of the plan

Botanically, a tomato is a fruit. However, it has a much lower sugar content than other fruits. It is considered a vegetable for most culinary purposes.

Understand what you’re trying to achieve before you do anything

The point here is that we need to be certain what we’re trying to do before we can start trying to improve things.

Another myth (see ‘Myths’) is that any marketing is better than none. There’s little point in spending time and money trying to answer the wrong question.

At Jarvis Marketing we’ll take time to understand your business (they all say that!) and what your particular strengths and weaknesses are. Then we’ll come up with a strategy that will work.

We’ll let you see how we’ve arrived there, so you’re convinced too. We’ll also work hard to ensure any marketing we undertake has the best possible chance of success.

Trust

People may enjoy some adverts, but they don’t always trust them. They often come to resent advertisers for the interruptions. Publishing relevant, helpful content achieves the very opposite; potential customers can find the information  when they want it.

Word of mouth

It takes just a few seconds for site visitors to share a link to content they like, giving original, creative content a life of its own.

Visibility

Optimising keywords in your content, get your company on the 1st page of search engines.

Voice

You’re your own publisher so you get the ultimate say in what people read about you. You can’t control their reactions, but you can  control what you put out there.

Well planned & executed content marketing will work wonders for your business…
